GOD'S WORK DOES NOT STOP IN SILENCE
FISCHER FAMILY — HONK KONG
What we are believing for
We are asked to pray for the protection and safety of local leaders and contacts; for the safety and well-being of their families; for strength and spiritual wisdom in the midst of a challenging environment. Pray that the Gospel will continue to advance in regions where few have heard it and for the children and women who are being discipled.
Testimonies
- A group of Christian believers in rural areas of China gather very early in the morning, climbing into the mountains to hold church services and Christian training classes. To make the most of this time, they bring sleeping bags and rest on hay and straw.
Local leaders guide these meetings using Christian teaching resources stored on USB drives that were previously given to them in Hong Kong. In the villages, despite restrictions, believers continue to meet secretly after 10:00 p.m. so as not to attract attention. Although the spiritual environment has become more challenging in recent years, God's work has not stopped and cannot be stopped. Contacts (local leaders) have found new ways to use the video teachings on the USB drives through secure online communication applications, thus expanding the reach of Bible teaching. - Women's groups are being led, where the Word of God, prayer, and biblical principles are taught to face daily challenges.
- One particularly encouraging development is that Christian teaching groups for children are now also being developed, using a children's curriculum in Mandarin. Some of this material has been translated with the support of young Generation Z missionaries, using artificial intelligence-based translation technology.
