WHAT GOD IS DOING IN QUERETARO
The missionary team is serving in a region known as the “Circle of Silence,” where less than 3% of the population considers itself Christian. In the midst of this context, they have experienced God’s faithfulness and have seen Him continue to grow His work.
During this time, they have seen growth in both the fully Spanish-speaking service and the fully English-speaking service. For almost a year, Pastor Brian preached week after week to empty chairs during the English service. Yet God had a purpose. Today, the English service has even more people attending than the Spanish service.
In recent months, several families from Nigeria have come looking for a church where they can worship and hear the Word in English. God was already preparing this church for them.
They have also seen God add people to the Spanish service. Among them is the pastor’s barber, who now attends together with his daughters. Every new family represents an opportunity to continue sharing the Gospel and showing the love of Christ.
This year, they also had the opportunity to welcome three missionary teams, who helped them organize a basketball clinic for children in the community. Through this activity, they were able to reach more than 75 children and their families, using sports as a way to build relationships and share the love of Christ.
They have also been able to serve three group homes. Although these homes were initially quite reserved and hesitant to open their doors, over time God allowed the team to build trust with them. Today, they have open doors to return, visit, and share the Gospel.
They also had the opportunity to host a worship night for the community, creating aspace where more people could come together and hear the message of Christ.
God is showing His faithfulness and opening new doors for the church to become firmly established and reach more people throughout Querétaro.
PRAYER REQUESTS
For the growth of the church: That God would continue to add new people and families and that they would grow firmly in Christ.
For more men and families: That God would raise up men and families willing to join the team and help establish and strengthen this work in Querétaro.
For the families from Nigeria: That God would continue bringing families who are searching for a church and that they would find a true spiritual family in this congregation.
For the group homes: That the doors God has opened would remain open and that the team would continue to have opportunities to share the Gospel with the children and young people.
For the community: That God would continue to provide new opportunities to serve and reach more people through sports, worship, and different community activities.
For the missionary team: That God would give them strength, wisdom, and perseverance as they continue serving and shepherding this work.
God is growing this work in Querétaro. The team is especially asking for prayer for more men and families who are willing to join them in establishing and strengthening the church in this region.
May God continue to open doors, reach families, and raise up a church that can take the gospel to a region where few know Christ.
