Prayer does not fit us for the greater works; prayer is the greater work.

— OSWALD CHAMBERS

WHEN WE PRAY, DOORS OPEN

GIBSON FAMILY — PANAMA

What we are believing for

The project to expand their meeting place, under the slogan “Making room for more”.

The purpose of this project is to adapt and expand the current space in order to accommodate more people and enhance the worship experience.

Phase 1: with an estimated cost of $4,970, includes the removal of a maintenance bathroom and a storage room to expand the sanctuary. This includes demolition, construction, painting, floor leveling, as well as improvements such as a new audiovisual system, air conditioning, and the purchase of additional chairs.

Phase 2: estimated in $2,735, seeks to close off the covered rear area of the church, incorporating it as part of the worship space. This stage includes the construction of new walls, structural improvements, and the purchase of more chairs and an additional television. In particular, they ask for prayer support for financial provision, guidance in each step of the process, and that this project may serve for the glory of God and the growth of the community.

Testimonies

As the second anniversary of the Church approaches, Palabra Viva, those who have been part of the process can only give all the glory to God. What was once a dilapidated and lifeless building has been almost completely transformed, reflecting what has also happened in the hearts of those who congregate there. What began as a small Bible study has blossomed into a united church, where both members and the community are served with love.

They have witnessed new conversions, baptisms, healings, and the moving of the Holy Spirit among them. Leaders are beginning to emerge with passion for the vision. Since the services are completely full—to the point that some men must stand and children even occupy the stairs—the time has come to make room for more. They are ready to begin as soon as the necessary funds are raised.

JOSIE & AMJED ROGERS — IRAK

What we are believing for

They ask for prayer for their family and for the ministry to which God has called them in Iraq, Greece, Kenya, Uganda, and the Amazon. Although the gospel is free, bringing it to the nations—serving, discipling, and empowering—comes at a cost. She asks for specific prayer that the Lord will provide the necessary resources so that they can return fully equipped and courageously continue this mission. They created a wish list on Amazon so that they can return fully equipped. They are deeply grateful for all the love, prayers, and constant support.

BEN & ALE WUSSOM — SPAIN

Testimonies

For three weeks in August, Ben and his team were part of the staff at BTS in Amsterdam, a seminar for Bible teachers organized by the local YWAM team. During this time, students received teaching on the Old Testament period of kings and prophets and practiced Bible teaching under the observation and feedback of Ben and his team. Based on this experience, they now also serve as mentors to some students in their teaching process.

Upon returning from Amsterdam, Ben and his team moved into their new home. Shortly thereafter, Ben traveled to Mazatlán, Mexico, where he taught the Bible for a week at an Evangelical Discipleship School (EDE). Currently, they are preparing for the upcoming teachings they will be giving in the coming months.

Although they had to postpone the Discipleship Bible School (DBS) scheduled for September in Madrid, God opened up new opportunities for them. Between September and November, they will teach a total of 11 lessons and, God willing, they will travel to Costa Rica in December to continue their work.

NAIAH & JANIS FISCHER — HONG KONG

Testimonies

This summer has been especially busy for Faith Family Church, as they miraculously acquired their own permanent location and are currently preparing to move. However, in the midst of this exciting transition, the church has not lost sight of one of its most important priorities: the children of Hong Kong and China. During the summer camp, more than 80 people were welcomed, including 20 children from Hong Kong, 25 children from China, parents, leaders, and a missionary team from the United States. In addition, special classes were offered for adults focused on how to care for children and help them grow spiritually. Attendees participated enthusiastically and expressed their gratitude, commenting that they had rarely received training on these topics. One of the leaders of the American team shared, “I would never have grown so much if I hadn’t come to this camp. I have also gained more empathy and love for children, and I have much more respect for long-term missionaries. This trip has changed my life. I would like to come back soon!" China Missions, in fact, has as one of its main goals to mobilize Generation Z to the mission field, taking advantage of the special gifts they possess. One of the most memorable nights was when Sister M, originally from China, shared a moving story from her childhood. She recalled how, in her childhood, Bibles were so scarce that people took turns copying their pages by hand into notebooks, as they were considered priceless treasures. Today, thanks to the work of China Missions, both she and her children have their own Bibles and a precious USB drive with Christian resources, symbolizing how much times have changed and God's provision in their lives.
